The Norwegian Multiphase Flow Alliance connects researchers, engineers, and industry — in Norway and internationally — around flows with more than one phase.
Move your cursor to stir the flow. Left alone, the phases separate.
The alliance
Multiphase flow runs through Norwegian research and industry — from subsea pipelines and process plants to hydropower sediment, nanofluid solar collectors, CO₂ transport, aquaculture, and the human body itself, in blood flow and drug delivery. Yet the people who study it, the people who engineer it, and the people who operate it often flow in separate layers.
The Norwegian Multiphase Flow Alliance keeps them mixing. We are a member network that connects Norwegian research groups, engineering companies, and industrial operators with each other and with international partners — for exchange, business, and complementary collaboration.
What we do
Guest stays, shared lab and flow-loop access, and student mobility between member institutions in Norway and abroad.
Structured introductions between technology providers, suppliers, and industrial end-users — from first meeting to pilot project.
Consortium building for Research Council of Norway, EU, and international calls, matching members with complementary strengths.
An annual forum, webinar series, and member directory that make your multiphase competence visible internationally.
Members
Norway-based technology company developing AIoT-based water resource management, sediment control, and hydropower solutions — including hydrodynamic adaptive sediment management systems.

Annual
Two days of member presentations, lab visits, and matchmaking sessions — the alliance's main annual meeting point.
Online
One member, one hour: a research group or company presents current work, followed by open technical discussion.
Ongoing
We track relevant RCN, Horizon Europe, and international calls and connect members with complementary profiles.
Join the alliance
Membership is open to research groups, companies, public actors, and individuals working with multiphase flow — in Norway or internationally. Tell us who you are and what you work on, and we will get back to you.
